Non-personal: We utilize the industry standard third party Google Analytics service to collect certain information about our visitors to better understand their experience. These information include the users' time spent in our app & on our website, session length and frequency, return rate, technical information such as browser type, version, screen resolution and more. Trough GA we don't collect/store/transit any device identifier or personal information, IP addresses are anonymized before transmitted. We don't collect/store/transit any information regarding any other application on the user's computer.
Non-personal: We look at the aggregated usage statistics to better understand where SmoothScroll needs improving, monitor overall speed issues, error rates. We look at what devices and resolutions to support (in case of the website). We consider language and other locale information to determine what possible localisations would be most useful to our users.
Personal: SmoothScroll stores your name and email information for license verification purposes. You can always ask for this information, ask for it to be updated, and for it to be deleted. In case of deleting this information your license will be canceled as well. FastSpring asks for the user's information to pay for our software, they also verify your credit card data for fraud prevention. They do not share your credit card information with SmoothScroll.
You can opt out of the Google Analytics service. Other than that you can always opt out by uninstalling our software.
Uninstalling is easy.
macOS: Click the SmoothScroll icon in the menubar, if it is running, then select "Quit SmoothScroll" (alternatively you can close it via the Activity Monitor just like any other Mac app). Finally move the SmoothScroll.app file to the Trash. Empty Trash.
Windows: Click the Windows Start menu, type in "remove", select "Add or Remove programs", type in "smoothscroll", click the SmoothScroll entry, click "Uninstall"
To cancel your subscription, use the your subscription link given to you when you purchased our software. Alternatively you can ask our Support via email to cancel your subscription.
